The S&W M&P Shield was designed from the ground up to be a small, extremely compact pistol that combines all of the features and the reliability known to the M&P line of guns, in an easy to carry and easy to shoot size.

Chambered in .40 SW for the proven stopping power of the round, the M&P Shield features a high-strength polymer frame with a black corrosion resistant finish, coated stainless steel slide and barrel. With a standard 3.1 inch barrel, and an overall length of 6.1 inches, and an unloaded weight of just 19 ounces, the SHIELD is an excellent firearm for daily concealed carry.
